<image:title>Home - First and foremost my job as your lactation consultant is to be your guide. I firmly believe that it is truly the parents’ decision on how to care for their baby, and not every family will flourish with the same tools or have the same goals. My job is to help provide evidence based care and create a plan as a team to meet your goals, whether it is breast or bottle feeding. I am happy to offer both holistic and western based care. Whether you had a planned c-section, or free birthed your baby, all are welcome. I am trauma informed and have completed training for those who have had difficult pasts. I will never touch you or your baby without your consent and we can absolutely find a way to meet your goals without being touched. Birth can be a vulnerable time, and I am sensitive to how the past can come up during this transition.</image:title>
<image:caption>I have been working with infants and mothers since 2011, and have seen a wide range of normal, as well as complex cases you will likely only see once in a career. In 2019, I graduated from OHSU-PSU School of Public Health with degrees in Public Health Education, Health Sciences, and a certificate in Human Lactation. I also completed the pathway 2 IBCLC program through OHSU-PSU (one of only 10 programs in the nation) allowing me to sit for the IBCLC exam. That same year, I passed boards to be an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). This means that I am able to care for the most complex cases, and am able to bill and be reimbursed by insurance. I am the mother to 7 children (yes, I birthed and breastfed all 7, and we also homeschool). My husband, children, and I live on a hobby ranch with chickens, ducks, turkeys, steers, a milking cow, cats, pigs, and dogs (oh my!). In my free time, I enjoy gardening, baking, hiking, cross country skiing, and living life with my family.</image:caption>
